Every Tuesday for the past four years, The Marketplace Cafe, located in Boston's Faniuel Hall, has been the place to go for a night of great blues. Each week a different guest artist from some of the best local and national bands join the Downtown Blues Revue for an ever-changing mix of music. If you haven't taken the time to see it yet, come on down and join in the fun.
On Tuesay the 11th of May, a very special event was held to celebrate the 4th Anniversay of the Downtown Blues Revue. If you were there, you already know how great the music can be and if you weren't, hopefully we will see you during the next year!!
The Downtown Blues Revue is made up of members of The Woodburn-Arena Band and a rotating cast of keyboard and saxophone players. On the anniversary show, Bruce Bears from the Toni Lynn Washington Band and Scotty Shetler from everyone's band, filled these roles.
The special guests were Vykki Vox and Dave Osaff from the Vykki Vox Band, Ed Scheer from the Love Dogs, Barbeque Bob from Barbeque Bob and the Varaflames, Brian Templeton of the Radio Kings, K.D. Bell, Jay Place from The J Place Band and Mike Welch from The Mike Welch Band.
