Every Tuesday for the past five years, The Marketplace Cafe, located in Boston's Faniuel Hall, has been the place to go for a night of great blues. Each week a different guest artist from some of the best local and national bands join the Downtown Blues Revue for an ever-changing mix of music. If you haven't taken the time to see it yet, come on down and join in the fun.
On Tuesay the 16th of May, a very special event was held to celebrate the 5th Anniversay of the Downtown Blues Revue. If you were there, you already know how great the music can be and if you weren't, hopefully we will see you during the next year!!
The Downtown Blues Revue is made up of members of The Woodburn-Arena Band, Marty Richardson on drums and a rotating cast of keyboard and saxophone players. On the anniversary show, Alizon Lissance from the Love Dogs and Scotty Shetler from everyone's band, filled these roles.
The special guests were Anita Suhanin, Shirley Lewis, Vykki Vox from the Vykki Vox Band, Ed Scheer from the Love Dogs, Rick "King" Russell, K. D. Bell and finally, Ed Spargo and Craig Macintyre (the Bam-Boom Ensemble).
For those of you that may feel a little nostalgic, I left a link to the 4th Anniversary celebration for you.
